Her favorite food are the spicy Sichuan Hot Pot and the Kunming "Over the bridge noodles". Her favorite places are Weishan in Yunnan Province and the Dazu Rock Carvings in Sichuan Province.

Adrian Stalder, General Manager

A passionate traveler and outdoor expert. He graduated from the Swiss business school of commerce and was supposed to start a banking career soon after. More out of curiosity he took an interim job as a tour guide for one of the leading tour operators in Switzerland and that is when he discovered his love and affection for foreign countries and their fascinating cultures and history. In between his assignments he shouldered his backpack and started to explore the remotest corners of the Asian continent. After one year in Thailand he then moved to neighboring Myanmar where he worked  as the country manager for a German tour operator for almost 5 years. He then decided to move on to Kunming, where he realized a long time dream by starting his own travel company, and to share with others his extensive travel experience and profound  knowledge about China and South-East Asia. In his spare time he is practicing Tai Ji and studies the Chinese history.

Fu Min Wai, Tourguide

The local expert for the Yunnan Province. He was born in Shanghai but after his return from the United States he decided to settle down first in Lijiang before moving to Dali which he now calls home. He studied extensively the various ethnic minorities of the Yunnan Province and understands their local customs and traditions like no other. He is fluent in English and Chinese and also speaks some of the local dialects in the area. Honesty and a good sense of humor are important to him. Ming Wei loves to be outdoors, likes to travel and to eat good local food.

We care for the environment

We are aware that Colorful-China Travels & Tours has a big responsibility towards the environent and its inhabitants. We constantly try to disign our tours as environment friendly as possible.  Where ever possible we select our transportation and hotels according to this philosophy.

In addition to that we support various social and environmental aid projects within the Yunnan province. Last year, we helped financing the renovation of a boarding school, and our "leave your old sweater behind" project is still running successfully.

We also have our project "2 trees per client and day" running quite successfully. You book with us a 10 day trip within China, we will plant for you 20 trees in the hills around Dali. With your support we could plant last year almost 2000 trees around Dali. Thanks a lot!
